During the late 1980s to the early 1990s, the Cleveland Cavaliers had a very successful run thanks to players like Mark Price, Brad Daugherty and Larry Nance. They were perennial play-off contenders but somehow, they always come up short. In two instances, they have been eliminated in the post-season by the Chicago Bulls. After this period, the franchise struggled in its return to relevance despite having talented players like Shawn Kemp, Terrell Brandon, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Andre Miller and Ricky Davis.
Then, Lebron James joined the team in 2003 and the team became a crowd-drawer and legitimate contender. Four years later, the Cleveland Cavaliers went to their first NBA Finals but lost to the San Antonio Spurs. James left for the Miami Heat in 2010 and the fight of the Cavaliers is now being orchestrated by Kyrie Irving, Anderson Varejao and Dion Waters. It won't be long before the Cavaliers will thrust its might into the NBA. When they do, it's best to see them play in person by scoring some tickets.
