Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers were formerly known as the Buffalo Braves and eventually the San Diego Clippers. The franchise transferred to Los Angeles in 1984 and they have been the butt of tons of basketball-related jokes. They have been tagged as the city's second basketball team because of the continuous success of the Los Angeles Lakers. But lately, it seems that they are bridging the gap with their Staples Center co-tennants. The string of good luck started when the Clippers drafted forward Blake Griffin from Oklahoma.
Aside from Griffin, the Clips also have point guards Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups, center DeAndre Jordan, forward Caron Butler, instant scorer Jamal Crawford and veteran Lamar Odom. At present, the team acquired the moniker "Lob City" due to their affinity to alley-oops. With the possibility of highlights in every possession, your eyes will be clipped on the court in anticipation of a big play from the Los Angeles Clippers. An NBA Championship clipped to their franchise history might happen sooner than later.
