The Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks football program is a college football team that represents the University of Louisiana at Monroe. With a history dating back to 1931, ULM currently competes in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The Warhawks currently play their home games at Malone Stadium, located on the campus in Monroe, Louisiana. Since December 2009, Todd Berry has served as the Warhawks' head coach. After a shocking 34-31 overtime upset of #8 Arkansas on September 8, 2012, the Razorbacks became the second highest ranked team to drop from the polls completely the next week. The upset ranks 1st in the Warhawks' history, closely followed by the program's 2007 21-14 win over Alabama in which they were underdogs by 25 points. The Warhawks played in their first ever FBS bowl game on Dec. 28, 2012 in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana, losing 45-14 to the University of Ohio Bobcats.
