Not to be mistaken with the law enforcement agency, the Texas Rangers became the first Major League Baseball team to win a World Series game in the state of Texas. However, they lost to the eventual champion San Francisco Giants. They would make it back to the series the following year but once again lost to the St. Louis Cardinals. Aside from two American League pennants, they have won the AL West division five times and have entered the playoffs as a wildcard once.

Manager Ron Washington has a strong line-up that makes them top contenders. In their roster is talented pitcher Yu Darvish, catcher Geovany Soto, infielder Adrian Beltre, outfielder Nelson Cruz and designated hitter Lance Berkman. They came so close into winning two World Series and they have the talent to finally go over the hump. With an exciting team in place, watching them play at the ballpark should be in your bucket list.
